Vonosil 10 

Presentation: Vonosil 10, available in Bangladesh, contains Vonoprazan Fumarate 10 mg. It is presented as a film-coated tablet for oral administration and is usually available in blister packs. 

Indications: Vonosil (Vonoprazan) is a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) indicated for the treatment of acid-related disorders, including:

• Prevention of recurrence of gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer during low-dose aspirin administration.  
• Prevention of recurrence of gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer duringNSAID administration.
• Maintenance treatment of reflux esophagitis showing recurrence and relapse.

Dosage and Administration: The usual adult dose for oral administration is 10 mg of Vonoprazan once daily for the prevention of recurrence of gastric or duodenal ulcers during low-dose aspirin or NSAID administration. For maintenance therapy of reflux esophagitis showing recurrence and relapse, the usual dose is 10 mg once daily, which may be increased up to 20 mg once daily if efficacy is inadequate.

Vonosil can be taken without regard to food or the timing of food intake. Always follow your doctor's specific instructions.

Side Effects: Following side effects have been reported with the use of Vonoprazan:

• Diarrhea
• Constipation
• Drug hypersensitivity reactions (e.g., rash, urticaria)
• Hepatotoxicity (increased liver enzymes, jaundice)
• Nausea
• Abdominal distension

Precautions: Vonosil (Vonoprazan) is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Vonoprazan or any of the excipients and in patients receiving atazanavir sulfate, nelfinavir, or rilpivirine hydrochloride. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of drug hypersensitivity. It should be used in pregnant women or women having the possibility of being pregnant only if the expected therapeutic benefitoutweighs any possible risk. Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment with Vonoprazan; if administration is indispensable, nursing should be discontinued. Avoid the use of Vonosil in patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh B or C) and severe renal impairment (eGFR < 30 mL/min).

Storage: Store below 30°C, in a cool and dry place. Keep away from light. Keep all the medicine out of the reach of children.
