Wikitin 25 

Presentation: Each tablet of Wikitin 25 contains 25 mg of Omarigliptin. It is available in strips. The tablets have specific shapes and markings depending on the manufacturer (Aristopharma Ltd.) in Bangladesh.

Indications: Wikitin (omarigliptin) is indicated for the treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control. It is a long-acting dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, administered once weekly.

Dosage and Administration: The usual recommended dose is 25 mg once weekly, as monotherapy or as add-on therapy. In patients with severe renal dysfunction or end-stage renal failure requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis, the dose is 12.5 mg once weekly. The tablet should be taken orally once a week, with or without food, preferably on the same day each week.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include nasopharyngitis and hypoglycemia (especially when used with sulfonylureas or insulin). Other possible side effects include gastrointestinal issues, constipation, and diarrhea.

Precautions: Wikitin (omarigliptin) is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to omarigliptin or any of its components, severe ketosis, diabetic coma, or precoma in type 1 diabetes. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of pancreatitis and in those with moderate to severe renal impairment (dosage adjustment may be needed). If hypoglycemia is a concern when used with insulin or sulfonylureas, a lower dose of these medications may be required.

Storage: Store in a cool (below 30°C) and dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
