Presentation: Liquid-filled hard gelatin capsules containing Astaxanthin USP 2 mg. Available in strips. Manufactured by Ziska Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Bangladesh.

Ingredients: Astaxanthin USP 2 mg.

Indications: Astaxanthin is a strong antioxidant indicated to:  

• Improve cardiovascular health (atherosclerosis, reduce cholesterol). 
• Improve immune function. 
• Improve the condition of the skin.
• Protect skin from damage caused by the sun (reduce wrinkles, pimples, and other signs of aging).
• Improve recovery from central nervous system injuries.
• Protect eyes from cataracts and macular degeneration.
• Reduce inflammation (arthritis).
• Reduce the risk of infertility.
• Reduce oxidative damage to DNA and decrease the risk for many types of cancer.
• Stabilize blood sugar.

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults (18 years and older): The usual daily dose is 2-4 mg, taken along with or immediately prior to meals in the morning.
• For specific uses:
  • Antioxidant & Cardiovascular health: 2-4 mg daily.
  • Skin health & Sun protection: 4-8 mg daily.
  • CNS injury & Eye protection: 4-8 mg daily.
  • Inflammation (Arthritis): 8-12 mg daily.
  • Infertility risk reduction: 16 mg daily.
• Follow the physician's instructions.

Side Effects: No severe side effects have been reported yet.

Precautions:

• Contraindicated for those with known allergies to Astaxanthin.
• Pregnant women and lactating mothers should avoid Astaxanthin supplements as no data on safety has been found yet.
• Concomitant intake with Cholestyramine, Colestipol, Mineral oil, or Orlistat may reduce the absorption rate of Astaxanthin.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not store above 25°C. Protect from light.
