Description:

Xinolax DR 30 contains duloxetine, a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI). It works by increasing the levels of serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain, which helps to regulate mood and pain. The delayed-release formulation helps to prevent the medication from being released too quickly in the stomach.

Indications:

Xinolax DR 30 is used to treat several conditions, including:

• Major depressive disorder (MDD)

• Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)

• Diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain (DPNP)

• Fibromyalgia

• Chronic musculoskeletal pain

Dosage and Administration:

• The usual starting dose is 30 mg once daily.

• The dose may be increased to a maximum of 60 mg daily.

• Xinolax DR 30 can be taken with or without food.

• The capsule should be swallowed whole and not crushed or chewed.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to duloxetine or any of the inactive ingredients in the formulation.

• Concomitant use with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) or within 14 days of discontinuing an MAOI.

• Patients with substantial alcohol use or evidence of chronic liver disease.

• Narrow-angle glaucoma.

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients with a history of mania or seizures.

• May impair mental alertness; patients should exercise caution when driving or operating machinery.

• Use with caution in patients with severe kidney or liver disease.

• Duloxetine may increase blood pressure.

• Patients should be monitored for any worsening of depression, suicidal thoughts or unusual changes in behavior.

• Avoid abrupt discontinuation of the medication.

• Pregnancy: Duloxetine should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.

• Lactation: Breastfeeding while taking duloxetine is not recommended.
