Xorest 0.5 Tablet - (0.5mg Clonazepam)

Presentation: Each tablet contains 0.5 mg of Clonazepam USP. Xorest 0.5 

Indications: Xorest 0.5 is used to treat:

• Panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia.
• Certain seizure disorders, including Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, akinetic and myoclonic seizures. It may also be used for absence seizures in patients who haven't responded to succinimides.

Dosage and Administration: The dosage is individualized by your doctor.

• Adults (Seizure Disorders): Initial dose is usually 1 mg daily at night for 4 days, gradually increased over 2-4 weeks. Maintenance dose is typically 4-8 mg daily in divided doses.
• Adults (Panic Disorder): Initial dose is 0.25 mg twice daily, increasing to a target dose of 1 mg daily for most patients after 3 days.
• Children: Dosage is weight-based and determined by the doctor.

Tablets can be taken with or without food. Follow your doctor's instructions precisely and do not stop taking the medication abruptly.

Side Effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, and impaired coordination. Less common side effects can include depression and memory problems. A serious but rare side effect is a severe skin rash. Report any unusual or severe symptoms to your doctor immediately.

Precautions: Inform your doctor about any allergies, liver or kidney problems, breathing issues, depression, or a history of substance abuse. Avoid alcohol while taking Xorest 0.5 as it can increase drowsiness and dizziness. It may affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. Use in pregnancy should be discussed with your doctor.

Storage: Store in a dry place away from light and heat. Keep out of reach of children.
