Zipol B
Presentation: Film-coated tablets containing a combination of B-complex vitamins (Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Nicotinamide, Calcium Pantothenate, Cyanocobalamin) and Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate. The exact strengths of each component can vary between manufacturers.
Indications: Indicated for the treatment and prevention of deficiencies in B-complex vitamins and Zinc. These nutrients are essential for various bodily functions, including energy metabolism, nerve function, red blood cell formation, immune function, wound healing, and growth. It is used in conditions such as inadequate dietary intake, malabsorption, increased nutritional requirements (e.g., during illness or stress), and specific deficiencies.
Dosage and Administration: The usual adult dosage is one tablet once or twice daily, or as directed by a physician. It is generally recommended to take the tablet with food to enhance absorption and minimize potential gastrointestinal discomfort.
Side Effects: Generally well-tolerated. Mild gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, vomiting, or stomach upset may occur in some individuals. High doses of certain B vitamins may cause specific side effects (e.g., flushing with niacin). Zinc can sometimes cause nausea, especially if taken on an empty stomach. Allergic reactions are possible but rare.
Precautions: Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Use with caution in patients with acute renal failure, as zinc accumulation may occur. Zinc can interact with certain medications, including tetracycline and quinolone antibiotics (reducing the absorption of both); allow at least 2-3 hours between doses. Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) may decrease the effectiveness of Levodopa.
Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Store below 30°C or as specified on the product packaging.
