Zofra

Presentation: Tablets (4, 8 mg), orally disintegrating tablets (ODT), oral solution, injection.

Indications: Prevention of nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery. May also treat gastroenteritis.

Dosage & Administration: Varies by cause and age. Adults: typically 8-24 mg daily (oral). Children: dose based on age/weight. Follow doctor's instructions.

Side Effects: Common: headache, fatigue, constipation. Less common: dizziness, drowsiness. Rare but serious: irregular heartbeat, chest pain, breathing problems, seizures, serotonin syndrome.

Precautions: Inform doctor of heart/liver issues, low potassium/magnesium, allergies, pregnancy/breastfeeding, other medications (especially those affecting heart rhythm or serotonin).

Storage: Store below 30°C, protect from light, keep out of reach of children.
