Zosert 100 Tablet

Presentation: Each tablet contains 100 mg of Sertraline.

Indications: Zosert 100 is an antidepressant medication belonging to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class. It is used to manage:

• Depression and prevent its recurrence.
• Panic disorder.
• Social anxiety disorder.
• Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
• Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in adults and children (6-17 years).
• Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).

Dosage and Administration: The usual starting dose for adults is 50 mg once daily, which may be increased by your doctor up to a maximum of 200 mg daily, depending on your response. For panic disorder, PTSD, and social anxiety disorder, the initial dose might be 25 mg daily, increasing to 50 mg after one week. For OCD in children (6-12 years), the starting dose is 25 mg daily, increasing to 50 mg after one week. The recommended interval between dose changes is usually one week. Zosert 100 can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include:

• Nausea
• Diarrhea
• Constipation
• Vomiting
• Dry mouth
• Loss of appetite
• Weight changes
• Drowsiness
• Dizziness
• Headache
• Increased sweating
• Sleep problems
• Decreased sexual drive

Serious side effects can occur; report any unusual or severe symptoms to your doctor immediately.

Precautions: Inform your doctor about any pre-existing medical conditions, including liver or kidney problems, seizures, heart conditions, bleeding disorders, or glaucoma. Zosert 100 can interact with other medications, including MAO inhibitors, other antidepressants, and certain pain medications. Avoid alcohol while taking this medication. Use caution while driving or operating machinery as it may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Discuss use during pregnancy and breastfeeding with your doctor. Do not stop taking this medication abruptly without consulting your doctor, as it may lead to withdrawal symptoms.

Storage: Store below 30°C, protected from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
